Well hello there!
Thank you for stopping by and checking out my jewelry! I thought this would be a nice introduction to welcome you to my little world.
In it, you'll find various sparkles and crystals and silver galore... Some gemstones, lots of beads, whirlygigs, and anything else that strikes my fancy. I've been crafting jewelry since grade school- and I will admit, I've come a LONG way from dyed pasta pieces! I prefer to work with beautiful things- items that will catch the eye, invite you in, and most definitely get you lots of compliments when worn out and about.
I really wanted to take this opportunity to tell you a little about myself.
I'm a born and raised New England girl. I have the sea in my veins, as I'm happiest when I'm situated on the warm sandy beaches of the Northern Seacoast. One of my favorite places to be is up in Bar Harbor, Maine. There's nothing quite like the quaint little shops it houses, and I swear they have the best little ice cream parlor ever right on Main Street. You can go right from the docks (where there's parking), to the little pathway that goes along the beach. If the tide's out, you can even go and venture out to some of them! You're also sure to find some interesting creatures in the tide pools too!
Another favorite spot of mine is Martha's Vineyard. Pricey, yes, but it's a wonderful little island to escape to- especially in the summer. However, I'm not really one for large, packed crowds- so I like to go in September when the weather isn't quite so hot, and there aren't as many tourists around... Like me! I like watching the surf crash up against the sand on one side of the island, then to go around to the other and watch the water gently pulse. There's great fishing too- you typically can catch a nice Blue Fish standing right from the beach! It's also a very artsy community- and it's impossible for me to walk by any shop that might have something I'd find interesting!!!
I also love pretty much all of New Hampshire and Maine- and I'll clarify by saying not including the metropolitan areas! I like the sounds of the birds, the whisper of the wind, the crickets at sunset, and seeing the stars in the sky as if they're punched through a black velvet blanket- bright and vivid. On some nights, especially in winter, the Northern Lights (Aurore Borealis) can even be seen! That's an amazing sight if you've never had it to behold!
Aside from places... I love chocolate. Especially with caramel, almonds, or cherries.
I'm an IT geek that works during the day, and crafts during the other hours that are free and not spent sleeping. I have a beautiful little cat who's an absolute lovebug. My parents are my best friends, and I love them to death. My boyfriend is my best friend, soul mate, and protector all rolled in to one. I have a brother and two sisters, which are younger than me... And I can't even begin to say how wonderful they are either.
I'm happiest when I'm near water, namely the ocean. A lake or river will do as well- like the little place my b/f has on a lake! It's calming.
I enjoy gardening (hence the other shop being opened!) as it's always been a project Mom and I would do come spring... Clear the beds, turn the soil, water, plant... Etc. And end result is a beautiful bed of flowers that bloom all summer long!
